■Jiro Persimmon:
A high-sugar content of 15~20 Brix, a persimmon that becomes sweeter with every bite. Nearly seedless, offering a dense and satisfying firm texture to enjoy.
Jiro Persimmon Taste
The Jiro persimmon is a sweet variety known for its firm, crispy texture and sweet flavor. Each fruit weighs around 250 to 300 grams. When fully ripen, it displays a deep orange color and contains very few seeds. Its high sugar content and crunchy texture make it exceptionally flavorful.

Jiro Persimmon Origin
Aichi Prefecture boasts the highest shipment volume of "Jiro persimmons" in Japan. As it is the fruit’s place of origin, having an abundance of groundwater from the Otagawa River system and the sandy soil. It is the ideal conditions for Jiro persimmons to thrive.
Recipes Recommendation
- Salad (Vegetables such as daikon radish, cucumber, carrot, mizuna, turnip, onion, and Chinese cabbage)
Eating Recommendation
- Cut into 1/4 or 1/8 pieces before peeling for easier eating.
- For softer persimmons, cut off the stem and scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
- Try freezing the persimmon and enjoy it as a sherbet for a cool, refreshing dessert.
Serving recommendation
- Store in a cool, dark place.
- If you prefer firmer persimmons, refrigeration is recommended.
- Enjoy as soon as possible.
*Note: Freshly harvested Jiro persimmons may have a white powder on the skin, known as "bloom" (fruit powder). This is naturally secreted by the fruit to help prevent moisture loss.
