Hinoakari is a Kumamoto-bred, exceptionally early Satsuma mandarin, developed from Nichinan No.1 to ripen even earlier while delivering stronger sweetness.

What makes it distinctive is how quickly its flavour develops. By late September, when the peel may still retain some green colour, Hinoakari can already reach 10°+ Brix with acidity around 1%. This gives it a noticeably sweeter, gentler character than the sharp acidity often associated with very early-season mikan.

The fruit is also seedless, easy to peel, with relatively soft inner membranes, making the small 2S fruit especially easy to enjoy whole segment by segment.

This TFD selection is offered in High Grade 2S size, approximately 500g.
