Description
Hareo is the premium brand name for Shine Muscat grapes produced by JA groups throughout Okayama. Named after Hare no Kuni Okayama—the Land of Sunshine—it carries the heritage of a region where grape cultivation has flourished for more than a century. Generations of expertise are reflected in every stage of production, including greenhouse temperatures managed in increments as precise as one degree.
A young grape cluster can begin with more than 500 blossoms. Growers carefully shape each cluster, then thin the developing berries by hand two or three times, selecting only those that will form a beautifully balanced bunch. The treatment used to produce seedless grapes is also applied individually, one bunch at a time.
At harvest, each bunch is carefully examined for its shape, berry size, color, and natural gloss according to Okayama’s exacting standards. Hareo embodies months of patient judgment and meticulous craftsmanship, presented as a radiant gift from one of Japan’s most distinguished grape-growing regions.
