Description
“Sakura White Peach” arrives in September, at the very end of Fukushima’s long peach season. While many Japanese peaches peak during midsummer, this extremely late-season variety reaches its prime as autumn approaches, extending Fukushima’s peach harvest well beyond the familiar summer favourites.
Its defining character is its firm, dense flesh combined with pronounced sweetness. Sakura White Peach is noticeably firmer than the soft, melting style many customers associate with Japanese white peaches, giving each bite more structure while retaining the fragrance and juiciness of a fresh peach.
This late-ripening character makes Sakura White Peach particularly distinctive within Fukushima’s peach season. Rather than replicating the delicate texture of earlier summer varieties, it offers a more substantial bite and concentrated eating experience at a time when Japan’s main white-peach season is already drawing to a close.
