Japanese tatami has a history of over 1,300 years and was traditionally used by emperors and people of high rank. We have crafted this tatami, inheriting that tradition, into a compact size. 
It uses tatami mats crafted by an artisan who has received the highest honor, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award. 
This product delicately expresses the beauty of Japanese aesthetics and brings an elegant accent to your interior design.

■The tatami craftsmen of the hidden village of Tadami in Okuaizu have painstakingly made each mat by hand.
■The word ‘mego’ means ‘cute’ in the Tadami dialect. Please use your favourite ‘mego’ on your mat.
■The tatami mat is made with Japanese paper. It is water-repellent and does not fade easily.
