Important Notes:
・Please note that our plums are harvested while still green and naturally turn yellowish as they ripen day by day. Therefore, they may not be fully green upon delivery.
・Once you receive your plums, please store them in the refrigerator immediately and begin making your umeshu as soon as possible.

Description
Love umeshu? Now you can make your own at home with this Homemade Plum Wine Set using Early Harvest Nanko ume from Wakayama.
Paired with high-quality rock sugar, this set lets you create a crisp and refreshing umeshu with a clean finish.

For the best result, we highly recommend pairing this set with a special sake made by Naeba Shuzo (Niigata), crafted specifically for fruit liqueurs.
Its clean, dry profile and delicate umami highlight the flavor of the plums without overpowering them. It’s also smooth and enjoyable on its own.

What’s included in this set:
①Nanko Ume (Early Hervest): 1kg

②Rock Sugar: 1kg

For plum wine: 1kg of sugarcane ice sugar - Tokyo Fresh Direct

③Glass Bottle : 4L capacity

How to Make Plum Syrup

  1. Remove plums with large bruises or damage
  2. Wash the plum
  3. Thoroughly dry the plums with a paper towel and remove the stems
  4. Layer the plums and rock sugar alternately in a jar
  5. Gently pour in the sake and store in a dark, stable place below 30°C for about 3 months.

Recommendations

  • Storage conditions may vary, so consume as soon as possible.
  • Umeshu can also be used creatively—try it in jelly, desserts, or as a cocktail base.
  • Enjoy your umeshu chilled, on the rocks, or topped with soda water for a refreshing ume soda.
