Awarded the Honorary Award at the 22nd National Confectionery Expo (Kanazawa '94) and the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises Award at the 24th National Confectionery Expo (Kumamoto '02), this sweet tofu kamaboko from southern Akita has been cherished for over 150 years since the Edo period.
Made from fresh tofu and white fish, it is a staple for ceremonies and tea. Its refined sweetness enhances the tofu’s flavor and pairs well with ponzu, wasabi soy sauce, or sweet chili sauce.
Made exclusively with Akita-grown soybeans (Ryuhou variety).
