Description
Prince Melon is a smooth-skinned, non-netted melon variety developed by Sakata Seed and introduced in Japan in 1962. Created by crossing the European Charentais melon with Japan’s New Melon, it features pale green skin and thick, juicy flesh that changes from light green near the rind to soft orange around the seeds. Small and elegant at around 500–700g, Prince Melon is known for its rich aroma, refreshing sweetness, and melt-in-the-mouth texture, with a high-brix content of about 15–17%.
