Unlike regular soy sauce, Nama-age Shoyu is unpasteurized — it is not heat-treated after pressing.
This preserves its living enzymes, fresh aroma, and complex flavor.
Brewed in traditional wooden vats and naturally aged for over a year, it offers a vibrant, “living” taste that regular soy sauce cannot match.
The Rare “Nama” Soy Sauce Debuts in Singapore
Founded in 1787, Nihonichi-Shoyu has been brewing soy sauce for over 230 years.
Our signature “Nama” (unpasteurized) soy sauce is exceptionally rare — made by only a few producers in Japan — and delivers the true taste of living soy sauce.
Brewed in traditional wooden vats with premium domestic ingredients, it offers unmatched depth and aroma.
For those who seek the real thing, our “Nama” soy sauce is authentic Japanese craftsmanship at its finest.
