  • Place of origin: Yamanashi, Japan
  • Content quantity: 1.5kg/4-6pc(pink box) or 2.0kg/5-8pc(blue box)
  • Taste profile: Sweet and juicy, low acidity and astringency (brix level 13-14, acidity pH 4.5)
  •  Storage method: Store at room temperature (in a cool place out of the sun). If refrigerated, put in the fridge before eating as it will stop ripening.
  • Shelf lif : Please enjoy at your preferred level of firmness and ripeness.
    *Ripen when fragrant, the rind hairs are moist and the rind is red all the way down to the bottom.

Product description:

The next generation peach "Yumetouka", an ultra-rare variety with a new texture and high sugar content, exclusive to Yamanashi Prefecture.

Registered as an original early variety in 2019, it ripens in early July and is large for an early variety. It is characterised by a new flesh quality different from previous peaches. It has high juice content and good eating quality.

Characteristics of Yumetouka

  • A new variety with a new flesh quality different from that of conventional peaches.
  • The flesh is firm, but the peaches soften to a certain extent.
  • High juice content and very juicy.
  • Good colouring.
  • High sugar content, mildly acidic and sweet.
  • Low acidity and astringency, very good eating quality.

How to tell when it is ready to eat: 
If you like them hard, eat them early if you like them soft, eat them late. The hardness can be judged by touching the pulp around the head.
Please find the best time to eat and enjoy them yourself.

Delicious way of eating :
Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving.


Why Yamanashi Peaches are Delicious
Only the best peaches are selected and thinned early on, resulting in large, tasty fruits. Peaches are rigorously sorted by sweetness using a light sensor, a method first developed in Yamanashi in 1989.

  • Yamanashi: Japan's Top Peach Producer! Yamanashi Prefecture produces about 1/3 of Japan's peaches, making it the top producer. Main production areas include Yamanashi City, Koshu City, Fuefuki City, and Minami-Alps City. The peach picking season is lively and popular.

  • How to Enjoy Peaches (1) Peaches taste juicier when the flesh becomes soft after harvest, but they do not get sweeter. For a firmer texture, eat them sooner. Chill for 1-2 hours before eating; do not over-chill as it affects the flavor. Wrap individually in paper if storing in the fridge for a longer period.

  • How to Enjoy Peaches (2) Peel peaches by hand rather than with a knife. Use a finger bowl for convenience. If difficult to peel, soak in warm water briefly. Cut lengthwise for even sweetness. The stem end is less sweet, so cutting this way helps balance the flavor. Use lemon juice to prevent discoloration.


Easy recipe: peach salad:

  • Thighs: 2
  • Arugula: 1 bunch
  • Feta cheese: 100 g
  • Olive oil: 2 tbsp
  • Balsamic vinegar: 1 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper: to taste


  1. Thinly slice the peeled peaches.
  2. Wash and drain the arugula.
  3. Place the arugula, peaches and feta cheese in a large bowl.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, season with salt and pepper.
  5. Toss gently and serve.
