Product description:

  • What is Wassa?
    • First grew the hybrid, a cross between a peach and nectarine.
    • Exquisite taste with moderate sweetness and strong acidity.
    • Firm, crispy, and has a refreshing orange flesh.
    • Strong sugar content, 14.5 degrees is the average.
  • Characteristic of "Wase Wassa"
    • Highest sugar content, so most will be 15% or higher.
    • For the early Vassar we shipped last year, the average was 14.9 degrees as measured at the end of July.

  • What makes it different from peaches?
    • Wassa has less juice than peaches, and not enough to peel and drizzle, so it can be served without getting your hands too dirty.
    • Unlike peaches, the taste of wassa is initially intense and addictive, with a strong flavor that lingers in the mouth after eating.

How to taste/ enjoy

  • Easy to eat?
    • YES, Wassa never make you bothering such as peel off the skin.
    • Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours, cut into pieces without peeling! And eat as is.
  • Food that goes well with?
    • Sprinkle with a little lemon juice (★Highly recommended!★)

  • Different ways of eating
    • For those who prefer softness
      • When allowed to ripen (2 to 3 days at room temperature), the fruit will soften slightly.
        *They are not as soft as peaches.
    • For those who prefer hard
      • Wrap each ball in newspaper and store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator to prevent drying out.
