It is Japanese mushroom also known as "Tea Tree Mushroom". It is often taken as "nameko" for its appearance, but it's more similar to enoki mushroom. You will enjoy its crunchy yet little hard texture. As the taste is kind of plain, it goes well with any kinds of food products or seasonings.
It contains much Vitamin and Minerals such as Niacin and pantothenic acid.

The main season of Yanagi Matsutake is May to October.
Where can we find yanagi matsutake?:
Most of all yanagi matsutake are found in Aoki, Nagano prefecture.
You can often use yanagi matsutake instead of Shimeji mushroom or enoki mushroom.
